Niklaus Stoecklin, 1925
While Frenchman A.M. Cassandre (elsewhere in this gallery) also had Dutch clients, Swissman Niklaus Stoecklin almost exclusively produced posters for clients in his own country. In his designs, he combined exaggerated realistic images with striking colours and bold lettering. Here he used Sütterlin, which was the modern standard form of handwriting for the German language area in the 1920s.
