This chair combines influences from England and France into a typically Dutch product. The inspiration for the hollow (curved) back, for example, is French, while the use of mahogany is English. The upholstery of moquette (mock velvet) was made in the Netherlands.

    Stoel bekleed met velours d'Utrecht, waarop een geperst groot zonnebloemmotief. De S-vormige voorpoten eindigen in een vogelklauw met bal en zijn tot over de welfing extra geprofileerd. De achterpoten wijken in gespreide stand naar achteren. De zitregels en de rugregels- en dorpels zijn gewelfd. De bovendorpel van het beklede rugraam wordt bekroond door een klein bloemmotief. De bekleding is genageld. Het hol gebogen rugraam rust op gecanneleerde gewelfde stutten.
