Tegen een gouden achtergrond houdt Maria Jezus in haar rechterarm terwijl ze hem borstvoeding geeft (gr. Galaktotrophousa). In haar linkerhand houdt ze een takje vast, waarschijnlijk met kleine gesloten granaatappels eraan.
