  • Deze kruitkisten, bekend onder de naam 'prismatische kruidkist', zijn door de Nederlandse Marine niet ingevoerd. Deze kist was die voor middelmatige afmetingen werd voorgesteld.

Entry

Hexagonal pewter powder chest.

The chest has double lids, both round. The inner one has a ring on top, the outer one opens and turns laterally on a hinge. It fastens with a bayonet catch. The chest has a rope handle.

These powder chests, known as ‘prismatic’ powder chests, were not accepted by the Dutch Navy. This chest has a medium size.1J.M. Obreen, Catalogus der verzameling modellen van het Departement van Marine, The Hague 1858, no. 721.
