The heavy artillery on naval ships consisted of cannon mounted on gun carriages. The calibre – or fire power – of naval cannon was expressed in pounds, according to the weight of the projectiles. The set on this plank represents guns of decreasing calibre, ranging from 36 pounds (far left), 30, 24 and 18 pounds to 12 pounds.

    Model van een ijzeren kanon van 18 pond op rolpaard, incompleet. De 48,4 cm lange houten loop heeft een kaliber van 21 mm en is goud geverfd. De wangen van het rolpaard, met drie trappen en een ellipsvormige uitsnede onderaan, staan achter verder uit elkaar dan voor en zijn verbonden verbonden door een schuin kalf en de aslijven, die aan de wangen zijn bevestigd met beugels die verwijderd kunnen worden. De zoolplaat verbindt voor- en achteraslijf. Het rolpaard heeft een borststuk met borstklep; de stelwig ontbreekt. De houten wielen zijn dubbel en alle van dezelfde doorsnede; de aslijven hebben klossen onderop waarop het rolpaard komt te rusten als de wielen weggenomen zijn. Schaal 1:6 (afgeleid).

Model of an iron 18-pounder gun on a carriage.

The barrel is 48.4 cm long and has a 21 mm calibre. The carriage is trapezoidal in plan, the cheeks have three steps and an ellipsoidal cutaway below and are held together by an inclined transom and the axletrees, which are attached to the cheeks with braces, which can be removed. The stool bed connects the hind and fore axletrees. The carriage has a breast piece with hinging outer part; the quoin is missing. The wooden trucks are double and are equal in size; the axletrees have chocks underneath, on which the carriage can rest when the trucks are removed.

The barrel was found separately (in fact, it was mounted on model NG-MC-1155), its identification is based on measurement and probability.
