Model of an Oared Gunboat

Uitgehold blokmodel op een standaard, één roeiriem is bewaard. Gladboordige dubbelriems sloep, platbodem met bijna vlakke zeeg, spitsgat met gebogen voorsteven en rechte vallende achtersteven. Eenvoudig roer met een helmstok die over de roerkoning past. Voorplecht, zes doften aan weerszijden met roeipennen op het dolboord, achter een open kajuit met zijdoften. Van voor- tot achtersteven loopt een onderslede voor geschut, waarin op drie plaatsen mastsporen.

Model of an Oared Gunboat

Entry

Hollowed-out wooden block model of a gunboat, mounted on a stand.

Carvel-built launch with a flat bottom and an almost flat sheer, double ended with a curved stem and a straight, falling sternpost. At the stern a basic rudder with a wooden hand tiller is specified. The model has a small fore cuddy, six thwarts on either side with rowlocks in the gunwale, and aft an open cockpit with side benches. From stem to stern a gun slide is indicated, which has three holes for masts. Only one oar has survived.

The model has been identified by elimination.
