Kistje met elf monsters van ijzerdraad voor staand-want, alle wantslag met zes kabelslag strengen om een zevende, alle strengen en het hart bestaande uit zeven garens. Ze zijn ieder samengebonden met touw en geel papier aan de uiteinden en dragen allemaal een perkamenten etiket met opschrift en een monster van het garen waaruit ze zijn samengesteld. Het etiket bij het kleinste monster draagt ook de instructie om het te doen vervallen.

Entry

Box containing eleven samples of iron cables for shrouds, all are shroud-laid with six cable-laid strands around a seventh, each strand and the heart consisting of seven wires. Each is tied together with rope and yellow paper at the ends and carries a parchment label with an inscription and a piece of the wire they are made of. The inscription on the smallest sample also carries the instruction to have it suspended. The inventory mentions four more samples of lashings and wire;1J.M. Obreen et al., handwritten inventory list for items 944 to 1431, 1884, manuscript in HNA 476 RMA, inv. no. 1089, no. 1207. these were not found.
