Weiyi Daoshi (Jap. Uitsu Dōjitsu), 1680
An impeccably ordered and lucidly written text poses the question ‘who is happy wherever he goes?’ and asserts that those with the ability to look beyond everyday responsibilities can feel at home anywhere. Then ‘every landscape you see becomes your kin’.
