Identification Document of Trotting Horsemen

Nowadays passports and other identification documents are provided with photographs as a matter of course, but passports as such have only existed for 100 years. Before then, other documents were provided with photos to prevent misunderstandings and fraud. They were not always preserved. An exception are these three portraits of trotting horseman of the National Trotting Association.
