Barbara van den Broeck based this impressive depiction of The Last Judgement on a painting by her father. Depictions of this important Biblical subject were popular, and such monumental prints, which were often mounted on the wall much like paintings, served a devotional purpose. Aiming at a wide audience, the plate was provided with a quote from the Bible in three languages.

Description
Laatste Oordeel met boven: Christus tronend op de regenboog en zijn voeten rustend op de wereldbol. Hij wordt omringd door engelen met passiewerktuigen, heiligen met hun attributen en kerkvaders. Onder in de hel tonen demonen de zielen geen genade. Onder de voorstelling staat een vers in vier regels dat in drie talen herhaald wordt.
