Emmy van Leersum, 1967

From the mid-1960s onwards, Emmy van Leersum used unconventional materials for her jewellery. She wanted to integrate jewellery into the fashion scene, and therefore made a series of aluminium collars with matching dresses. The ensembles were presented in a pioneering fashion show at the Stedelijk Museum in 1967, accompanied by electronic music
