Gepolychromeerd blokmodel (stuurboord) van een driemaster. Vier geschutpoorten op het hoofddek, achter een klein campanjedek. Scherp voorschip met krul als schegbeeld; elliptisch hek met Rijkswapen in vergulde sierlijsten; roer met ronde roerkoning (Amerikaans roer) en afgerond roerblad. De zeeg loopt op naar beide uiteinden, rondspant. Schaal 1:40 (schaal op model).

Entry

Polychromed wooden half block model of the starboard side of a three-masted sailing vessel, mounted on a rectangular wooden backboard that has been painted white.

On the black-painted side of the ship four gun ports are indicated in the bulwark of the main deck. The sharp bow features a beakhead that ends in an ornamental, gold-painted scroll. The cathead is missing. The elliptical stern has a raised poop and bears the coat of arms of the Kingdom in the Netherlands in a gold-painted cartouche. Below the stern a round-headed rudder with a rounded blade is indicated. The sheer rises towards both ends. The hull is round and painted a metallic bronze colour below the waterline. The position of three masts and the bowsprit are shown in a truncated form. The masts rake considerably. The foremast is missing but its outline is still visible.

This model was sent from Amsterdam to the Department of the Navy on 3 June 1868.1See inscription. The model represents a training vessel built at the Amsterdam Navy dockyard from 1865 to 1867 that carried four rifled bronze guns. The model probably represents the training vessel Urania.
