Six-string guitar with a two-piece front of fine grain spruce with ebonised bridge and side turned ornaments. The back (in two pieces) and ribs are figured maple. The centre of back and ribs striped with a line of ebonised wood. Ebony fingerboard with bone frets and five ebony frets on front. An inscription stamped on the back, below the sound hole, reads 'AUGUSTIN. / CLAUDOT'.
