Flower vase (cuvette Mahon)
The form of this vase, with its boat shape, was designed to commemorate the French capture of the British-occupied Port Mahon on the island of Minorca in 1756.

Description
Ovale jardiniere van veelkleurig beschilderd porselein, met een blauwgroene fond. De jardiniere heeft een geschulpte rand en naar binnen gebogen korte zijden. De vier poten hebben de vorm van bladeren in rocaille-vorm en zijn deels verguld. Op beide lange zijden is een medaillon geschilderd een met een Teniers-scene: vier mannen en een vrouw rond een tafel voor een huis en in de ander bloemen en vruchten.
