A man and woman are sitting on a large pair of scales and being weighed. The bride, holding an open chest of coins, is clearly much richer than the groom, with his bag of coins between his legs. Cupid steals off carrying a sack on his back; there is nothing for him to do, for this is no love match.

    Een jongeman en jonge vrouw zitten op een weegschaal. De jongeman heeft een zak geld voor zich, de dame een kistje met goudstukken, waaruit blijkt dat zij veel rijker is. De weegschaal slaat door naar haar kant. Achter haar staan haar rijk geklede ouders. Achter de jongeman staan zijn ouders van wie de moeder aan het touw trekt. Rechtsvoor loopt Amor weg.
