Club Exposure, The Hague

Gerard Wessel, 1994-06

In Scheveningen Wessel photographed in Club Exposure. In his words, the owner René Mulder aimed to provide young people with popular house music and other obvious stimulants. ‘When I turn up at 2 a.m. (“You’re early, Gerard”) it’s still quiet. But by 6 a.m., when the Scheveningen fish auction is in full swing, the now-packed Club Exposure is running flat out.’
