Boat with Three People and Objects

Even though the head of the main figure is missing, it can be deduced from this motif that this is Guanyin and his/her servants Shancai and Longnu. They are sitting in a boat, a symbol of rescue; Guanyin saves people at risk of drowning in a sea of misfortune.

    Beeld van steengoed in de vorm van een boot, bedekt met een transparant glazuur met een lichtblauwe tint. In het midden van de boot een overdekt deel waaronder twee personen zitten met voor zich een object; achter hen een derde persoon in kleermakerszit met naast zich een roeispaan; voor op de boot enkele objecten. Boot is gebroken geweest. Qingbai.
