Bowl. Iran,12th - 13th century. Stone paste. On the bottom a decorative silhouette of lotus leaves was cut out of the black slip. Given by Prof. Dr J.A. Oosterbaan and Mrs Oosterbaan-Lugt.

  • Description

    Kom van kwarts-fritgoed bedekt met engobe van zwarte slib waaruit decoratie is weggesneden in 'silhouette' onder een monochrome turquoise alkaliglazuur. Op de bodem een gestileerde bloem (lotus?) in een dubbele cirkel. Op de binnenrand een band met medaillons met daarin een ruit.
