Oak, veneered with tulipwood, purplewood and other woods. The leather top is probably a replacement for a decoration in marquetry. Paris, ca. 1750, by Charles Marie Cochois. Ewer.   • Description

    Tafel versierd met marqueterie van roze-, palissander-, olijve- en andere houtsoorten op eikenhouten kern, met verguld bronzen beslag. De overhoeks geplaatste poten dragen beslag met rocaille-motieven. De voorzijde is binnenwaarts, de achterzijde buitenwaarts gebogen; beiden met rocaille-motief. De geschulpte zijkanten hebben een schuiflade met sleutelplaat; onder het blad, waarop aan drie zijde een galerij, zit een platte lade. De regels dragen bloemenmarqueterie. Her en der afzettingen door bronzen randen.
