Two female servants and a diminutive male servant wait on a gentleman seated on a bench with a stack of books. The cranes symbolize the wish for a long life. For the view in the background, a hole was cut out of the copper support, to which a piece of paper with the painted landscape was attached.

    Voorstelling van een Chinees op een bank. een bediende brengt thee, in de rechterhoek een jongetje. een Zwaar opgenomen gordijn begrenst de voorstelling aan de bovenkant en zijkanten. In de achtergrond is een raam uit de koperplaat gezaagd; een op papier geschilderd landschapje bevindt zich achter de opening. De figuren en architectuurelementen zijn in ondiep reliëf aangegeven. Originele zwart gelakte lijst met eekhoorns en wijnranken in goud.
