Relief with Segment

Ad Dekkers (1938-1974), 1967

In most of his reliefs, Ad Dekkers used two basic shapes, the circle and the square. He tried to integrate them in a harmonious composition. In this work, the circular form dominates. However, by omitting segments, first a half, then a quarter of the circle, a corner of an imaginary square becomes visible.
