Technical notes
The support is a piece of paper, the laid lines of which are visible, which was pasted onto a vertically grained oak plank approx. 0.8 cm thick. The image (17.8 x 13.8 cm) has a border approx. 0.5 cm wide on all sides painted to imitate wood, which continues to the edges. Infrared photography revealed traces of an underdrawing in a dry medium, consisting of stipples and contours. The technique is fairly simple, with the sitter reserved.
