Natalia Sergeevna Goncharova (signed by artist), 1922

The Russian artist Natalia Goncharova left for Paris around 1920. She had made a name in her own country with her outspoken colourful and decorative work in which she connected folk art with Constructivism. Her work is among Russia’s most advanced art. It was exhibited at Der Sturm Gallery in Berlin, from where Goncharova travelled on to France, settling there permanently.
