h 200cm × w 132cm More details

Cornelis Tromp received this rack, complete with weapons, in 1680. It was a gift from a childhood friend who worked at the Fort in Batavia (now Jakarta). The rack and many of the weapons came from Tonkin (now Hanoi), and found their way to Amsterdam via Batavia. Tromp gave the rack a prominent place in his house on the Herengracht, adding several Dutch pistols to this display.
