Steps of Pedestrians on Paper

Stanley Brouwn, 1963

Pedestrians, cyclists, cars, trams: the bustle of traffic is part of every big city. In the early 1960s, Stanley Brouwn was one of the artists looking for new ways of visualizing rather than illustrating that reality. By placing sheets of paper on the street, he literally made prints of reality.
