Three plates with the coats of arms of European noblemen

De Grieksche A, c. 1702 - c. 1722

These three plates bear the coats of arms of different European noblemen. In each case the overall layout of the decorations is identical, but the rim ornamentation is adapted to match the individual arms. The noblemen ordered the plates in Delft, where certain factories specialized in imitating multi-coloured Japanese porcelain.
