Seated Guanyin

Guanyin is the goddess of compassion, she grants the wishes of the faithful and helps people in need. Here she is depicted sitting on a low base and holding in her left hand a scroll, which signifies her great wisdom.

    Beeld van porselein op een laag voetstuk, bedekt met een grijs-wit glazuur. Een zittende Guanyin, haar handen steunend op haar linkerknie; in haar rechterhand een voorwerp. Vingers afgebroken. Ophangsysteem verwerkt in de achterzijde. Blanc de Chine (?).
