Amerikaans pantserschip Chickasaw op een rivier. Het schip bevat twee draaiende geschutkoepels, één commandotoren, een schoorsteen en vier sloepen. Het schip is gebouwd naar het ontwerp van James Buchanan Eads. Handgeschreven opschriften onder foto.

Framed black-and-white photograph of the ironclad Chikasaw in a river.

The photograph shows the ironclad armed with two gun turrets. It has a conning tower, one funnel and four boats.

The American ironclad Chickasaw was designed by James Buchanan Eads (1820-1887). The Milwaukee class river monitor took part in the Battle of Mobile Bay on 5 August 1864, during the American Civil War (1861-65)
