Half Model of a Koff

anonymous, c. 1780 - c. 1820

Gepolychromeerd mallenmodel (stuurboord) van een tweemaster. Rond achterschip; recht roer met versierde roerkop en helmstok over het dek. De zeeg loopt op naar beide uiteinden, één barkhout. Rondspant met platte bodem. De voormast helt achterover, de boegspriet ligt naast de voorsteven. Schaal ca. 1:28 (schaal op model).

Entry

Polychromed wooden half bracket model of the starboard side of a two-masted vessel, mounted on a rectangular wooden backboard.

The side of the ship is depicted by ribbands attached to frame moulds. The model has a round bow and stern. The stem is curved. The sternpost is straight and fitted with a broad rudder with a decorated head and a hand tiller. The sheer rises towards both ends. One wale is indicated, painted black. The hull is round with a flat bottom and painted white below the waterline. The position of two masts and the bowsprit is shown in a truncated form. The foremast is raked, the bowsprit lies next to the stem.
