mount: Tixier Deschamps, Nancy (ewer) and Paris (mount), c. 1897-1905, cameo glass, gilded, gilded silver, For this glass ewer, the Nancy-based brothers Auguste and Antonin Daum sought collaboration with the Parisian retailer Tixier Deschamps, which provided their handblown ewer with a gilded silver mount. The poppy links the two parts: from the bud on top of the lid to the wilted flower on the glass.
