Polychromed wooden half bracket model of the starboard side of a three-masted ship, mounted on a rectangular wooden backboard.
The side of the ship is depicted by ribbands attached to frame moulds. Above the wale the side is planked. The bulwark is pierced for eight gun ports on one continuous deck. The sheer rises forward. One wale is indicated, painted black. The stern has a round tuck, a hollow counter and a taffrail. The stern is trimmed quite deeply and the sternpost is sharply raked. Below the stern a straight, square-headed rudder is indicated. The hull is sharply S-bottomed, trimmed considerably by the stern, and painted white below the waterline. The position of three masts, an outrigger aft and the bowsprit is shown in a truncated form. The foremast and mainmast are raked considerably, the bowsprit is almost vertical.
