Golden Temple in Amritsar

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, in the northern state of Punjab, is the holiest place in the world for followers of the Sikh faith. The temple is built in a lake. Punjab was the starting point of Bourne’s journey farther to the north in 1864 to photograph the paradise that was Kashmir.
