Suzanna Frida, the Photographer’s Daughter
jonkheer Hendrik Teding van Berkhout (1879-1969), 1911 - 1912
The aristocratic Teding was director of the Rijksmuseum. He lived a stone’s throw from the museum. Following attempts at artistic amateur photography he turned his full attention on his young family. His wife would call him when something was going on and he would rush home to record his baby daughter, for instance caught in the net of her playpen, for posterity.
