Entry

Polychromed wooden half bracket model of the port side of a single-masted flat-bottomed vessel, mounted on a rectangular wooden backboard.

The side of the ship is depicted by ribbands attached to frame moulds. The model has a round bow and stern. The stem is curved. The sternpost is straight and fitted with a broad rudder with a hand tiller. The sheer rises towards both ends. One wale is indicated, painted black. The hull is flat-bottomed and painted white below the waterline. The position of a single mast is shown in a truncated form. The foremast is raked, the bowsprit lies next to the stem.

This model carries a label with an incorrect catalogue number: 402 instead of 982. The inscriptions led to the current conclusive identification.

Scale (derived) approx. 1:24.
