The famous book Wapenhandelinghe features 117 engravings of the marksmen, musketeers and lansquenets from the army of Prince Maurice of Orange. All the actions carried out by the soldiers with their weapons are illustrated step by step, from loading to firing and thrusting. This copy is exceptionally beautifully coloured and gilded and was specially made for someone in the prince’s immediate circle.
