Pair of lace–up shoes with tassels

Bastien, c. 1920 - c. 1930

These shoes were probably made to measure on a mould of the wearer’s feet. That they were actually worn, is evident from the repairs to the sole and heel. This type of shoe was considered sporty in the 1920s, since it looked like it was suitable for sport.
