Pair of gloves with fan-shaped cuffs

Maison de Bonneterie, c. 1930

Gloves with large, wide cuffs – embroidered, stitched or plain - were the height of fashion in the 1920s and 1930s. The cuffs might be worn over the sleeves of a coat or dress. On this pair, the cuffs are extra wide, because strips of increasing width have been sewn together.
