Bottle
anonymous, c. 1680 - c. 1700
The form of this porcelain bottle is based on a European glass model. The square shape of such sturdy porcelain bottles was very practical on board VOC ships: it allowed them to be conveniently packed in chests called ‘kelders’ (cellars).
