Getting started with the collection:
Crescent-shaped kendi
anoniem, c. 1475 - c. 1524
This ewer’s form copies that of a leather waterskin. Chinese potters excelled in the imitation of artefacts in other materials. A small spout protruding from the side of the ewer could be used to serve its contents.
