This exceptional and rare vase was once part of a set from the grave of a highly placed person. Daoist motifs are carved in relief on both the lid and the vase itself. The lid features flying cranes and clouds. Also depicted are the Eight Daoist Immortals crossing the sea. Together they symbolize happiness, good fortune, and eternal life.
