During the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368), a considerable volume of Chinese pottery, including dishes and pots, were exported to the Middle East. Often sizeable in format, these objects featured elaborate blue and white decorative patterns. There was also another type, like this small jar, which is characterized by simpler decoration.
