stoneware, d 17.5cm. More details

Jun glazed stoneware is often sturdy and coarsely potted. Although it was made for everyday use, its utilitarian character did not hinder the quality of its form and glaze. In later centuries, Jun ware became extremely popular: collectors hunted for old pieces, seeking out the finest gradations of lavender blue and most elegant accents of purple glaze.
