Model van een kiellichter

Gedeeltelijk spant- en gedeeltelijk blokmodel van een kiellichter. Het is een gladboordig vaartuig met één dek en bijna platte, maar gekielde bodem. Boeg en achterschip zijn rond, de zeeg is bijna vlak en het model heeft een berghout. Het heeft een mast met twee takels met twee dubbele blokken; achter de mast staan twee kaapstanders, voor de mast zijn twee zware drieschijfsblokken in een gleuf in het dek ingelaten, waarin zij zijdelings kunnen bewegen. Een onbekend onderdeel, waarschijnlijk een pomp, ontbreekt vóór de drieschijfsblokken. Op het dek een groot aantal ringen en een stel schijven. Dekdelen kunnen worden verwijderd om het ruim te laten zien; twee luiken geven toegang tot opgangen.

Entry

Part frame, part block model of a careening hulk.

The model is of a carvel-built vessel with one deck and an almost flat, though keeled bottom. Bow and stern are round, the sheer is almost flat and the model has one wale. It has one mast with two separate tackles going through double blocks; behind the mast two capstans are indicated. In front of the mast two heavy treble blocks have been attached through the deck in a slot where they can move laterally. An unknown part, probably a pump, is missing in front of the treble blocks. The deck features numerous rings and a couple of sheaves. Parts of the deck can be removed to reveal the hold. Two hatches provide access to two companionways.
