Model van een lierspil

Model van een kaapstander in een houten frame met twee niveaus. Het is een spil voor acht windbomen met een lier in de metalen kop en vier pallen in de voet tegen het teruglopen. De trommel wordt of met de windbomen of met de lieren bediend. De onderste helft van de kop, waarin de gaten voor de windbomen en de lier zijn aangebracht, is aan de trommel bevestigd; binnenin is er één getande rand voor de twee zwengels met tandwielen, die tesamen de lier vormen. De zwengels kunnen ontkoppeld worden door middel van wiggen. De bovenste helft van de kop is aan de onbewegelijke vierkante koning bevestigd, die in een spoor op het ondergelegen dek is vastgezet. De trommel heeft zes klampen. Deze spil is een combinatie van een lierspil en een spil met ijzeren kop. Schaal 1:10 (schatting).

Construction model of a capstan in a wooden frame with two levels, mounted on a square base.

The capstan is for eight bars with a winch in the metal head and four pawls in the heel to prevent it from turning back. The barrel is turned either by the two cranks or with the bars. The lower section of the head, with the winch and the holes for the bars, is fixed to the barrel. It has a cogwheel rim, which form the winch together with the two cranks with pinions (one of which is missing) inside the head. The cranks can be disengaged with pegs. The upper half of the head is fixed to the square brass spindle, which is secured in a step on the lower level. The barrel has six whelps.

This capstan is a combination of a capstan with a winch and a capstan with an iron head.
