Description

Portret van Casparus Commelin (1636-93). Boekverkoper, courantier en stadshistorieschrijver met zijn 'Beschrijvinghe van Amsterdam' van 1693. Kniestuk, zittend met op zijn knie een deel van zijn boek, opengeslagen op de bladzijde met een prent van het oude stadhuis. Achter het boek een beeldje van Mercurius. Pendant van SK-C-518.
