Heyboer was not interested in changing society, but rather rebelling against it. To that end he wanted to create an individual form, an environment that had been totally emptied. Only warmth and a bed were required, as well as a human being, a woman. These were the conditions for experiencing the ferocity of life as intensely as possible. This was also how his art had to be.
