Polychromed wooden half bracket model of the starboard side of a three-masted ship, mounted on a rectangular wooden backboard.
The side of the ship is depicted by ribbands attached to frame moulds. Ten gun ports and a smaller porthole are indicated by white frames, indicating one deck. The forecastle and quarterdeck are outlined by ribbands and have square hances. The round bow features an empty beakhead with two cheeks. The stern has a round tuck and a hollow counter. The model does not have a taffrail, galleries or rudder. The sheer rises towards both ends. One wale and a sheer rail are indicated, painted black. The hull is sharply S-bottomed and painted white below the waterline. The position of three masts and the bowsprit is shown in a truncated form.
‘FM’ in the inscription most likely refers to ‘French Model’ (in Dutch: Frans Model).
Scale unknown.
