From masterpieces to usable books

The collections of the Rijksmuseum Research Library include nearly half a million publications in the field of art and related matters. There are a number of absolute masterpieces, but also unexpectedly special books, such as almanacs and special small usable printed matter pieces. They are examples of books which solely would not be placed in the display cabinet, but do create the connection between several museum collections and offer the possibility to translate polyphonic stories. In this video we tell such a story, based on special and everyday almanacs.
