All kinds of facilities are available at the museum to help visitors find out more about the collection: exhibit texts, publications, guided tours, audio Tours and the Rijksmuseum website.
Most of the special educational products concerning 'The Masterpieces' are only in Dutch.
School Groups can reserve a professional Rijksmuseum guide.

Special prices for schools (not including admission to the museum):
€ 50,- per hour for a tour of Dutch painting from the Golden Age.
€ 60,- per hour for a tour with another theme.
Tours can be given in the following languages: Dutch, English, German and French.
Group size is limited to 15 people for each guide.
You are allowed to bring your own guide. Group size is limited to 20 people for each external (not employed by the Rijksmuseum) guide.
Metal detection and X-rays form part of the security screening prior to admission. Pointed and/or sharp objects with pointed or cutting edges that could cause injury or material damage will be confiscated. To prevent any misunderstanding, we advise you to minimize the number of objects brought to the museum. For more information, see our general terms and conditions for visitors.

For pupils under 19 entrance to the Rijksmuseum is free.
Teachers and older pupils (19+) pay € 14 per head.
