Portret van een jongen, zittend in een stoel in een raamnis en gekleed in een blauw jasje. Schrijvend of tekenend op een sruk papier. Op het kozijn staat een schaal met fruit en wijnranken, een glas melk en een krentenbol. Het stenen venster is onderaan versierd met een reliëf met spelende, of bacchanaal van, putti.
